Over the course of my culinary career, I have led a $75M operation as Corporate Chef for Omni Hotels; designed and opened the kitchen at the Cincinnati Dolce Hotel; and developed, organized, and implemented a culinary training program for 50 Wyndham/Dolce Chefs at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley.
At The Alexander, I implemented multiple sustainability initiatives, including compostable disposables, a fryer oil recycling program, and a proposal to compost food waste, in support of the hotel’s LEED Silver certification.
I have also taken every opportunity to support the food insecure, whether by donating time to charity events, personal volunteering, or most recently during the pandemic, working with local charities to deliver over 10,000 meals to multiple food centers throughout Indianapolis.
I am also an avid wood worker, building anything from cabinets to fine furniture. Between 2005 and 2008, I owned and operated a general contractor company restoring and selling homes. Over the years, I have continued to contract small jobs and renovate our homes.

Relationships have been the driving force of my life. The joy I find in bringing people together is what drew me to hospitality, and my love of art is what drew me further to the kitchens. In addition to relationships and creativity, the other element which brings me joy is anticipating people’s needs. I am fortunate to enjoy these pleasures in abundance in my roles as a partner and mother, in my work, and in my service as a volunteer board member at the Edgerton Park Conservancy.
My work has taken me to beautiful places that have inspired me to take advantage of my surroundings. In Aspen, I gained my EMT certificate at Colorado Mountain College, and on Virgin Gorda I became a certified diver. I hike, run with our dog, garden and take naps in the sun. I love the outdoors. When the weather turns, I sculpt, spin fiber, knit, weave and invariably get drawn into some new endeavor. Last fall it was reupholstery. I like physical and large projects. The social nature of my work and the more solitary enjoyment of the outdoors and my art provides a wonderful balance.
